i spent a few hours over at swell woods this afternoon,iv been meaning to get over there for a couple of weeks now,but put it off a few times as there's been something to do or see (like the pied grebe at ham wall). However today i did get over there which is why i am righting this as a reminder to everyone who plans to go see the herons nesting.. don't put it off as before you know it spring will have sprung and the trees will be out in full leaf and your going to wish you went a couple of weeks ago:) i had a great time there's lots of heron type action up in the trees and loads to see around the trail and also in the carpark.....dont put it off
