First time for several years that I've actually visited South Stack Cliffs during the breeding season. My one regret is that I didn't have my camera with me when the Razorbill's decided to land on the rock about 6 feet away from me on Thursday evening (the 9th of June) because of the wind. Congratulations to the staff (both permanent and voluntary) who didn't impose themselves on visitors but were there just when people needed them - and I was impressed by the way that all the staff spoke to the visitors (well done). A favourite reserve of mine, and will continue to be for years to come. Thanks.
Thanks for that Falconman! It's really nice to hear that you had a good time and that you were impressed by our efforts - Our visitors are lovely too! I read out your post to the congregation in the office, so thank you for the morale boost.
It seems to me that amazing wildlife encounters tend to happen when you've forgotten your camera. So here's to the forgetful amongst us!!
