My name is Millie Downes and I am a Youth Nature Officer based in South Essex. This blog aims to update other members of the RSPB on the work that the Youth Nature Officers are planning and what events we have coming up.
Warden week is a bookable event which runs from the 24th to the 28th of October in the half-term and is a fantastic chance for young people to experince life as a warden. This event is open to 16 to 19 year olds who have a real passion in wildlife, conservation and the great outdoors. This is a great oppurtunity to step up for nature and support our ongoing campaign which aims to restore vast swathes of our countryside.
