Stepping up for nature and celebrating our first birthday Sandwell Swans Wildlife explorers had another wild Saturday afternoon last weekend.
The cold, winter weather didn’t stop sixteen young adventurers, helping out the wildlife in the minibeast meadow and run around playing a habitats game. Back in the warmth of the classroom they drew, sculpted, coloured, stuck and glitter glued some beautiful, conservation themed artwork for our art competition – well done to all of you for giving Visitor Officer Nicky such a difficult job choosing the eventual winners Alex and William. After all the hard work it was time to sit back and relax with some hot chocolate and a delicious slice of birthday cake.
We’ll be back for more fun games and activities on Saturday 23rd March to discover more amazing wildlife at Sandwell Valley. Our 'Marvellous Mammals' meeting will be at RSPB Sandwell Valley nature reserve from 1 pm to 3 pm - see you there!
