I haven’t blogged for while, but after a fantastic Little Explorers Under 5’s group this morning I had to write something.
For those of you who don’t know our Little Explorers group runs every two weeks on a Monday morning 10.15-11.30, it’s been up and running since March and is growing and growing in popularity.
Here are the dates for the sessions before Christmas; 16th & 30th September 14th October 11th & 25th November and 9th December
This week we had a special guest, Peter Brunton author of ‘Sally the Oil Rig Seal’ paid us a visit along with surprise guest Sally the Seal herself.
Peter read both of his stories about Sally to the Little Explorers and then signed copies of his books for everyone to take home. Everyone enjoyed the stories and singing as they bobbed up and down in the great north seal shouting for Sally the Seal.

Peter came in to visit with Sally as part of our Date with Nature at Greatham Creek -
Date with Nature is running Wednesday to Sunday until the end of September come along and meet Jenni our Information Assistant who’ll be very happy to show you the amazing seals that live there.
As well as the signed books the Little Explorers also took home their very own seals which they made themselves after hearing the stories about Sally.
Bring you Little Explorers along to the next session on Monday 16th September and meet our group leader Sam and take part in games, songs and fun crafts.
