I had a wonderful walk round the reserve last Thursday, with light snow and a thin layer of ice on the water.The high spot was when a flock of Coot on an island plucked up the courage to cross the ice to a small patch of open water by the Teal Hide. With all the slipping and sliding they looked really comical - almost human.
