Kingfishers are upon one of my favourite bird but i've only ever seen one twice (one surprisingly on the boat bit at Longleat) and so it's always been on my mind "when is the best time to see a Kingfisher?" Is now the best time or has the best time been and gone?
And I am also planning to come down to Rye Meads on the 4th of Septmeber in hope to see the Young Kingfishers fledge and am wondering is there a high chance they will fledge?
Any thoughts welcome

Thank you for sharing! Yes Jo, you are right the kingfishers were on their third brood at that point! Fingers crossed we get good views this year too!
Thanks Louise, we are planning a trip to Rye Meads tomorrow .... has there been much kingfisher action recently?
Me too!
A Kingfisher put in a very brief appearance at the Kingfisher Hide today at around 1pm.

Hi everyone!
The kingfishers are around! We have been seeing them wizzing past all over the reserve.... So looks good so far!
It's a bit early for courting, but hopefully we may see some signs before the end of the month.
Eyes pealed everyone! :)
