At last some sunshine, it was a lovely day although cold and the wind was beginning to gather pace as the afternoon went on. Lots of visitors out making the most of the lull in the weather. Draper Hide Teal - Coot - Moorhen Shoveler -Shelduck Little Grebe - Green Sandpiper Magpies 9 seen together in one tree Gadwall Hide Snipe were around and proving difficult to spot blending in with the reeds and on the stones, managed to locate some and show some visitors views through the scopes, Large flock of Lapwing in the hundreds - very mobile settled few times but spent most of the day flying between the Gadwall lagoon and the meadow, lovely to watch the flock and it swirled around in the sunshine. Shoveler - Shelduck (4) - Teal Gadwall - Shoveler - Swan -Cormorant Goldfinch - Great tit -Pied Wagtail - Jay - Starling Stock Dove- Black Headed gulls Around the reserve also seen Redwing - Heron - Pochard Water Rail and Cettis heard not seen Female Bullfinch Kestrel in the car park area Chaffinch - Dunnock - Robin - Blue tit - Pheasant all around the feeders
