What a start to the Bank Holiday weekend!

It's been glorious weather, and what a weekend it has been so far!

I had to do a quick blog to let you know that we've had a wryneck on site! It was first spotted early on Saturday morning (and not seen much in the afternoon) and seen early this morning by one of our volunteers!

 Fraser Simpson took this yesterday!

It was over on part of our reserve called Rainham West - on this picture it's at the left hand side where I've put the black oval. Just for your orientation you the visitor centre in this picture is on the right and the main 2.4 mile circular walk is the red dotted line!

Well that is a bit unusual!

We have also had nice sightings (and hearnings) or cuckoo, whinchat (on Wennington), bearded tit (they've been around the dragonfly pools and RDZ), yellow wagtail (by the Shooting Butts and Purfleet hides), as well as hobby and swifts zooming around over head.
