You may have seen some RSPB press releases and stuff on Autumn Watch about how there are still summer migrants lurking around. Amazingly, Nicole found a Sedge Warbler out on Wennington on Sunday (20th). This must surely be the latest ever London and Essex record. Who knows what else is out there!  Keep looking!

  • I have a November 2008 record of Whitethroat down near the Serin mound.

Think that might of been the year Dartford Warbler was wintering down at that end of the reserve. Do you think the mild weather has had an effect and it might well still migrate safely.

May all your Sandpipers be Curlew.
