The weather forecast for today is not good but at the moment there is wonderful sunshine, no wind and not a cloud in the sky. A Willow Warbler is singing around the wildlife garden and Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps are becoming the dominant song on the drive in. Six Curlew are currently feeding on Purfleet Scrape and Redshank, Lapwing and Little Ringed Plover are all present. The Ruff flock on MDZ is now at 11 but nine have already moved on while the Ouzel Fields do not hold Ouzels but do have three Wheatears. A Red-breasted Merganser flew up river.  More later I hope; you never know the forecast rain may even bring a few migrants down.
