Russ Sherriff took these great shots of a Water Pipit down at the Concrete Barges during the week. A striking bird and definitely at the brown end of the range. Much warmer than what I would normally expect and it is not the result of the light or camera.

Would like to enthuse about what has been seen today but the weather has been foul with steady fairly light rain, no sun and a cold wind and although the wader spectacle has matched other days this week, the poor light reduced the quality of the experience!

Marsh Harriers and Peregrines have been good today though....  Snow later apparently!
