RSPB Rainham Marshes Autumn Craft Fair.

Sunday 1st September  from 9.30am to 5pm so  why not come along and join in...

All welcome including dogs on leads within this part of the reserve. Free entry.  And don’t forget the cafe and shop and wonderful walks!

Please read... A couple of nudges for the coming days and some travel advice.

Friday 30th August: Late Night Opening with some mothing till late. Cafe will be open as usual with full menu available. The Bat Walk and Talk occurs the same evening and is now fully booked.

It is worth noting that the A13 will be closed between Stanford-le-Hope and the Orsett Cock in both directions from 9pm on the Friday night to 5am on Monday 2nd September.

This will also affect anyone (stall holders and visitors alike) trying to get to the Autumn Fair on Sunday morning so if you are coming from a Southend direction then you might like to head for the A127 as all traffic is being diverted via the single carriageway Old A13 which will be quite unpleasant!

I hope to see many of you at the fair this Sunday. There are now about 35 stalls so bigger and hopefully better than ever before!

Clipper update for Sunday 1st September. As mentioned in an earlier post, the schedule suggests that the 11 Round the World Clippers will start heading our way from the Thames Barrier at about 5.30pm. Obviously, we have our autumn fair on that day and will be in the process of shutting things down for the day at that time. However, we shall keep the car park open until 7pm for you to either stay or come along to enjoy the spectacle of these magnificent yachts heading off on their year long adventure. There will be no access to the trails after 5pm but the cafe will remain open for drinks and cake until 6pm. Access to the river wall path will be open as usual.
