We met a fantastic 6 year old yesterday who had challenged himself to cycle 20km to fund raise for the RSPB.

Lorcan is six years old and after watching the Marathon decided that he could do something to raise some money for charity.

He says "I love birds, especially peregrine falcons but also all animals. The RSPB help protect them. I will do some cycling for 20km on the 19th May at Rainham Marshes. There’s a 6 mile cycle path there and I will go round twice but I might have to have a little rest halfway.

"I am six years old and I would like if my family and friends could support me. At first I wanted to raise £200 which I worked out is £10 for every KM!!!! But now I want to raise even more, so have put £500."

He has raised £800 so far! He's six! That's amazing - thank you so much Lorcan!

His cycle ride went ahead yesterday - on a lovely sunny Saturday Lorcan (and parents) set off for his cycle ride. He cycled the whopping 20km in a couple of hours! Well done Lorcan - you are a star! After recovering with a nice cold drink and lunch in the cafe he told us "it was easy!"
