First of all I would just like to apologise for the dearth of blog post recently. Still not able to load images from home and very little time during the normal working day to post so please bear with me.

So a mini re-cap from the last week.  The Spoonbills from the week before made it to the weekend before moving off. A single dropped back in briefly on Monday evening but unfortunately did not linger.  A little after the event but Dave McGough got some great shots of this duo.

There has been a good flurry of waders including both Godwits, Whimbrel, Little Ringed Plovers, Greenshanks and Green Sandpipers while our first juvenile Marsh Harrier of the year came through on Thursday morning. Wonder where it was born?  A couple of last years youngsters were wing tagged and came from the Norfolk Broads. The first-summer male was also seen on Friday; the first sighting of hime for a while.

Our Bearded Tits have had a second brood and a new young family has been seen most days around the Dragonfly Pool and Water Voles have been especially obvious  from many vantage points.

Lots of insects too... but more of that later!
