Binoculars at the ready, feeding stations steady - it's BGBW 2020!

Big Garden Birdwatch, the world's largest garden wildlife survey is this weekend! Help us celebrate 41 years by taking part for an hour across Saturday 25, Sunday 26 and Monday 27 January.

How will you #BigGardenBirdWatch?

To count the wildlife that's counting on you, simply choose one hour anytime between 25 - 27 January and count the birds (and other wildlife) you see in your garden or local space — and don't forget to tell us what you've seen! You can find help with bird ID as well as a handy counting sheet at rspb.org.uk/birdwatch.

Why should you #BigGardenBirdWatch

"For many people, their greatest connection to nature is just outside their window, watching the birds in their garden or local park" says Beccy Speight.

This important piece of citizen science is the first step for many thousands of people in becoming champions for nature. With global leaders deciding the fate of our planet later this year, it has never been more important for people to feel connected to our amazing wildlife.
