Find out what goes bump in the night!

Eye of newt and toe of frog, wool of bat and tongue of dog…

Across the UK, our reserves are going wild for Halloween. Join us with your family and you’ll discover creepy crawlies, small and scaries, and things that go bump in the night! As bats flit overhead and toads call, the witching hour is definitely upon us.

Here at Rainham Marshes we have an evening walk for mini monsters...

On Wednesday 31 October between 6-7 pm families can join us on an evening walk to explore the reserve on our Halloween at RSPB Rainham Marshes event.

Halloween is upon us, much of our wonderful wildlife is hunkering down and hibernating, but here at the RSPB Rainham Marshes, in the depths of our mystical marshes there remain many beasts that go bump in the night. Wear fear-inspiring fancy dress, and your weirdest wellies, to brave the torch lit walk into the woodland for mini monsters and families (children under 12 years old), discovering nocturnal life, creepy crawlies and getting gooey. Followed by hot chocolate and cookies back at base.

Booking required, please give us a call on 01708 899851. £5 per adult, £3 per child (£1 discount for members)

Discover the creatures that live in our ponds on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of the October Half Term (23-25 October, 10.30 am-12 noon) to enjoy pond dipping!
