An impressive haul of birds out on the reserve yesterday with 15 species of waders seen out on the ever improving pools and foreshore! Great stuff and just desserts for all the hard work by our team.
The eclipse male Garganey was still on Aveley along with 22 Teal and 36 Little Grebe. The river was quite active 3 Sandwich Terns, 32 Common Terns, 16 Arctic Terns and 3 smart Black Terns. Hopefully a taste of things to come.
