With three Little Gulls and a summer pluamged Mediterranean Gull yesterday afternoon we made it to eleven species this week on the reserve and today we managed all of those in just one day!  Fantastic!  And just in case you were wondering they were...

  1. Black-headed Gull
  2. Little Gull (four more today!)
  3. Mediterranean Gull (another different adult)
  4. Common Gull
  5. Kittiwake (three more today!)
  6. Herring Gull
  7. Yellow-legged Gull
  8. Lesser Black-backed Gull
  9. Great Black-backed Gull
  10. Iceland Gull (the same 2nd yr as yesterday)
  11. Caspian Gull (1st winter at the Barges)

Also seen today were four Grey Plover, three Great Crested Grebes, a Goldcrest, flyover Siskin, the Beardies once again and quite a few Redwing and a handful of Fieldfare have been hanging around in the cordite.

BT (Tony Coombs).... and before you say anything... yes I know that it is a post about gulls but I do not have any pictures of gulls so you will have to put up with another awesome Beardy image!
