Christmas Fair
Please do not forget that we have mini Christmas Fair in the visitors centre from 10am – 7pm on Sunday 2nd. Being inside means that you have no excuses regarding the weather! There will be about 20 stalls as usual with some different bits and bobs from previous years.

For those of you with a pin badge fetish, David Hutley will be launching his own brand of bird pbs at the event, there will be Christmas Wreaths, Mazzi Makes bespoke gifts, Barry, Roy, Nick and... Brooke with their wildlife images, bags, jellyfish, cards and an array of paper crafts, Face Painting, Julie’s knitted blankets (don’t let her tell you they are not for sale!!), Dawn’s jewellery, the delightful Church Gin, Usbourne books and enviro friendly cosmetics amongst others

Laurie will be playing Christmas tunes on his organ with some brass accompaniment later in the day.

The cafe will be premiering their Cottage Pie and Tuscan Quorn Pasta (although obviously not on the same plate) along with some groovy seasonal muffins from the Muffin Makery (along with some of their ideal pressie ‘make your own’ gift packs).

The shop will be open for all your bird care, book and other present needs along with a plethora of cards and wrapping while of course we will have the optics on show upstairs. Oh and there is a sale on already with some of the Christmas stuff! Bargains are to be had!

And last but not least who wouldn’t want to buy a gift membership for Uncle Phil and Aunt Doris or a grandchild, niece or nephew? Do not forget that by doing this on the reserve, the marsh that you cherish and love directly benefits so no sneaking off and doing it on line please!

Just imagine how successful it will be if all of you turned up?

See you there...

Howard Vaughan, Information Officer
