A fabulous day with heaps of visitors and continual sunshine, Two male Goldeneye on the river were a bonus and a single Great Crested Grebe was seen. The male Marsh Harrier decided to go hunting on the south side of the Thames today and the Bearded Tits showed to only a lucky few.
Reed Bunting ... by me
Howard Vaughan, Information Officer
Good to see you today Howard.
We took a stroll down the riverside path heading back towards the centre and managed to see a good number of Reed Buntings feeding with some Meadow Pipits, I also saw the odd Rock Pipit thrown into the mix too. Quite a bit of activity on the river mud flats with Curlew, Redshank and a small group of Ringed Plover feeding although I didn't see the Goldeneye.
You can't win them all!
