Spring is the best time to see Cetti's Warblers as the males become more preoccupied with singing and showing off than whether or not you can actually see them.

However, the last couple of weeks have seen visitors getting some of the most amazing shots I have ever seen of this increasing species.  The mild winter and early spring have certainly helped it thrive and we have over 30 singing males across the reserve at the moment!

In these last two pictures from Tony Orwell you can see just how short the wings are, which is why Cetti's are a very local migrant and are resident throughout Europe.
