Many of you may have seen the media coverage of yet another new proposal for a Thames transport hub on the Isle of Grain in N Kent – to include a four runway international airport. This proposal if it ever became a reality would be a disaster for the wildlife and people of N Kent. Mark Reckless MP for Rochester and Strood, is against these plans, and has on line poll on his website. It is quick and easy to do – the link is below. Please vote no. It doesn’t ask for your email address. http://markreckless.com/2011/11/03/poll-do-you-support-lord-fosters-hoo-peninsula-airport-plan/ The NO vote is currently at nearly 84%
And for our take on things please haave a look at Andre's blog... http://www.rspb.org.uk/community/getinvolved/b/specialplaces/archive/2011/11/03/bad-then-worse-now.aspx

It's unthinkable the damage the proposed new plans would cause to the areas flora and fauna. If we must have a new airport (and I still can't see the reason why we need one) why is Manston overlooked the area needs the jobs and HSR1 could be extended at a fraction of the cost.
Anyway No Vote from me.
May all your Sandpipers be Curlew.
Its got my NO vote.
