With squally showers today we persevered with keeping an eye on the marsh and managed to find a couple more Lapwing nests out on Purfleet Scrape while Mute Swans look to be settling in and Redshanks have progressed beyond the 'kissing' stage of things...

Migrant wise the Garganey were still present and at long last we picked them up from the end of the ramp along with our first Yellow Wagtails since the weekend and the first House Martins and Reed Warblers of the year along with a few Sand Martins and Swallows. A male Marsh Harrier briefly caused havoc and I reckon that it is still our immature that drops in occasionally. A single Wheatear was picked up and three more Common Terns were seen in the Bay.
