We may have had a return to wet and windy weather, but that hasn't stopped the swallows and sand martins! Around 50 were spotted yesterday flying around the north brooks.
Amongst the trees lining the nature trail, parties of long-tailed tits are still flitting from branch to branch and treecreepers can often be spotted too, while chiffchaffs, willow warblers and blackcaps can be heard in several areas of the reserve.
Tufted ducks have been spotted on the mid brooks, and this morning a great crested grebe is out on the north brooks.
