Listening to the dawn chorus is a truly incredible experience and we'll be opening up early over two weekends to help you enjoy it.

Saturday 24 April & Sunday 25 April from 5 am

Saturday 1 May & Sunday 2 May from 5 am

Come along and enjoy the dawn chorus at Pulborough Brooks. We’ll be hoping that our premier songster, the nightingale, will be joined by a choir of brilliant birds as the sun rises.  Whilst we’re not able to offer guided walks this year, you’ll find our friendly team manning birdsong hotspots on the reserve to help you enjoy the experience and identify the different songs.  Our team will be getting started at 5 am (when the toilets will also be available) and our café takeaway will be open from 6 am to supply teas, coffees and breakfast baps to refuel you.

If you’re not too fond of the early start, you could instead opt for a ‘not quite dawn chorus’, when the bird song will still be lovely. Grab a takeaway coffee and breakfast treat before heading out to explore the nature reserve.

There’s no need to book, just drop in anytime from 5 am - we’ll be out on the reserve until 12 noon.

We’d welcome donations which support the reserve’s nature conservation work and will help us to maintain and create new habitat for nightingales and other songbirds.  Normal nature trail entry charges will apply to non-members.

To keep all of our staff, volunteers and visitors safe, social distancing will be in operation at our hotspots and viewpoints and in Visitor Centre facilities.

Cafe purchases & entry charges - card payments only please.
