Just had a great weekend at Pagham. The stars were of course the 1000 or so Brent Geese, but there were a few other birds here as well! Here's a few photos - sadly the light on Sunday wasn't great, so the Grey Plovers, Yellowhammers and Reed Buntings aren't going to star. The one Spoonbill and the two Avocets were just too far away for decent pics.
The noise of the geese flying just overhead is amazing.
There were a lot of Curlew around.
as well as many Redshank (plus a few Black-Tailed Godwit).
the Green Woodpeckers kept their distance...
as did the adult Winchat...
although the youngster was a little friendlier (at least I think it's a Winchat).
Finally, the Blue Tits on the feeders were getting a little tetchy.
"Let loose the Kraken!"
Great set of images Stuart. A good variety of birds on display.

My bird photos HERE
Green Woodpeckers drive me crazy, there are lots of them in Home and Bushy Park near where I live and in 8 years I've managed to get two half decent photos.
