That would be an incredible record for Otmoor, but I'm afraid that (in my opinion) the bird is a Yellowhammer (took a look at the pic via your profile). It has a yellow rather than black throat, and the face pattern is not strong enough for Cirl.

Yep, I would agree with aiki, definitely a Yellowhammer! Cirl Bunting are pretty much restricted to Devon and Cornwall now which is a real shame but we are working hard to rectify that!
