Apologies for the delay since my blog. I've been busy for the last couple of weeks ensuring that all our guided walks and safaris are on the website and ready to book. So, if you would like a guided tour of Minsmere, accompanied by our excellent volunteer guides, then please reserve your place now at www.events.rspb.org.uk/minsmere
Many of the old favourites are back, including Birds for Beginners, Winter Wildfowl and Reptile Rambles. We've also brought back our Discover Minsmere walks, which will focus on whatever seasonal spectacles are around, from birds to insects to flora. If you want to learn birdsong then why not book a place on our Sounds of Spring walks, or for the really early risers then our Dawn Chorus Experience promises booming bitterns, a cacophony of gulls and avocets on the Scrape and a wide variety of warblers, followed by a delicious full English breakfast (vegan and vegetarian options available). We've added two spring Sunset Strolls, as well as the regular autumn ones, while the early morning Reedbed Rambles in the autumn are a good chance to see bearded tits.
We've added some new walks year, too, with four seasonal All About Trees walks giving you a great insight into some of our biggest and oldest residents, while Fabulous Fungi walks explore the incredible variety of fungi around the reserve in the autumn.
If you are looking for something a bit more exclusive, then why not book one of our Hire a Guide walks or 4x4 Safaris. This are the perfect gift for loved ones, offering up to four people a special tailormade tour, either on foot or in a one of our 4x4 trucks.

The are still one or two walks to add once details have been finalised, so please keep checking the website for the latest walk. As places are limited, we recommend booking in advance, although if spaces remain you can book at reception on the day (except for early morning or evening walks).
All of the dates have been listed for our very popular Red Deer Safaris in the autumn, but please note that bookings for these do not open until 1 July.
Finally, there will also be a programme of family activities, including pond dipping, self guided trails and more, but details of these are still being confirmed.
