The lesser kestrel previously on Westleton Heath has now not been seen since Wednesday morning. Despite several reports today (and searching by staff), we are not able to confirm if the bird has been seen since. The local weather has not been kind, and it is possible the kestrel has relocated elsewhere or is still taking cover- I know I would! Unfortunately the weather doesn't look set to improve over the Easter weekend. We hope travelling birders will not have a wasted journey, as whether the lesser kestrel is still around or not, there is still the rest of the Minsmere reserve to enjoy.
