Are you still looking for somewhere to take your mum to treat her on Mother's Day? Perhaps you are a mum and would like to drop some hints to family members?

A visit to Minsmere is always a special treat, but this year we have something extra special for mums: an exclusive guided walk to explore hidden parts of the reserve with our volunteers followed by a delicious cream tea in the cafe.

The guided walk will take you away from the main visitor trails, giving you and your mum a unique opportunity to experience some of Minsmere's special views that few visitors have seen.

What's more, we'll also show you an impressive display of primroses hidden away in a woodland clearing.

When I explored the route yesterday I was treated to superb views of common buzzards and treecreepers, as well as footprints of red deer, muntjac and badger in the mud.

The walk will take about 1.5 hours, and we recommend walking boots due to nature of the paths, which are a bit rutted in places.

On returning to the visitor centre, you'll be able to enjoy our delicious cream teas - a freshly made scone with jam and clotted cream plus a hot drink of your choice.

There are two walks, starting at 10 am or 2 pm. Places are strictly limited and must be booked in advance by clicking here. Tickets cost £18 for adults, £12 for children, which includes the cream tea.
