I have just seen a large skein of Geese flying over my house in Aberdeen tonight. Can anybody tell me if this is normal, I didn't expect them to return so soon ?
We're seeing the geese (almost entirely Pink-footed Geese at the moment) a bit earlier than normal this year but they're definitely back at Strathbeg and now down as far as Norfolk, so it's not a surprise you've seen them over Aberdeen too.
We've just posted a new blog about this weekend's geese arrivals. The blog also tells you how to keep in touch with the goose numbers up here (and across the country) throughout the winter.
