Sorry we didn't reply sooner- afraid i've been away on holiday and not checked the forums! Robbo is absolutely right, it's a Siskin, one of my absolute favourite garden birds. This looks like it's probably a young bird, the females I've seen recently are a bit brighter coloured and the males are a very smart yellow and black.They breed on and just off the reserve and we often see them on the nyjer feeder outside Willow Hide/the reserve office.
