In the bit tagged on the end she flies off and Monty, who must have been on a perch above our heads (if you know what I mean) flew after her, taking a second to get going, LOL:
Sod's law indeed!!! The last thing I said was that I wouldn't bother trying to keep recording, and in my head I was envisaging just such a scenario as has taken place.
Am delighted for Monty, if only because it relieves his monotony and it looks as though there's hope for other lady osps returning :-)
IMAGICAT
Just woke up to see empty nest still but can hear Oystercatchers calling and Snipe drumming. I thought there was an insect calling but I saw on another post that a Grasshopper Warbler was mentioned - I wonder if anyone can confirm that?
Morning, Scylla if you are on night duty :-)
Tiger and Chloe's Osprey Info
Morning, BIRDSONG :-) I've got the sound muted on Dyfi, can't take 2 audios, lol. As you know, my birdcall knowledge is zilch (besides ospreys and an owl or two), but I'll have a listen.
No I won't (have a listen)... I muted the sound on the Dyfi screen so it's not recorded. Duh, I knew I shouldn't do that but didn't want to mute the whole laptop.
I assume this is Blue FS calling for breakfast :-)
I think she can see Monty sky dancing - let's hope mating is more successful today!
Strange how all the other early morning bird sounds seemed to go silent when the Ospreys started their calling. Blue FS just moved some nesting material - hope that's a good sign.
Still not sure she is co-operating - try a fish, Monty :-)
