Dyfi are going to have a nest mic this season : https://www.facebook.com/dyfiospreyproject?ref=ts&fref=ts
Thank you Tiger and ChloeB for sharing your visit with us. Sounds wonderful, plus seeing a peregrine. We managed to see a peregrine on our visit to Welney, it was amazing how quick word got round that it was in the area.
NiteOwl said:Thanks ChloeB When we go in July, I'll ask him also, he may know more by then. :-) I don't think there'll be a lot to see at Dyfi this year, we should have booked Rutland instead.
You will find Dyfi magic regardless. There will almost certainly be chicks. There were something like 69 intruders last year.

You were lucky too tina. Peregrines are lovely birds but mostly too fast to see, let alone photograph! :)
NiteOwl I think there has been far too much going on for Ems just lately. He is a real dynamo but there are only so many hours in a day :)
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
I'm really looking forward to seeing the 360* Observatory, Mulberry is very interested in what he may see there, I suppose I'm just going on one nest and Monty, though I'd love to see him, and I hope he does raise a family this year. I said Rutland, they seem to have ospreys coming out of their ears! lol ... and unless we can find a away to get there on a day trip now, we'll miss it all.
Chloe, I can imagine how busy ems and all the team are, most wildlife centres are, especially at this time of year.

Hope you do manage to get to Rutland too NiteOwl. I wouldn't mind going again myself but will have to see. Have you been before?
Yes we called on our way home last year on the 24th march, from Suffolk, we went to Manton Bay, the cycle entrance at the bridge, we saw and took video/photo's of 5R and 00(09) flying around and on the nest, couldn't get a good view as it was in thick mist. We went to RW also in a hot summer of 2006or7 we were very impressed with the place, but had no idea what an osprey was or looked like then though. We loved Rutland (town) also.

Sorry I couldn't get it to go in a posh link, tried for 10 mins :-(

Thanks NiteOwl. Still no Elin or other nice females passing by.
Thanks NiteOwl but still without a mate, such a shame.

No need to worry. Monty will find a mate.
