Dyfi are going to have a nest mic this season : https://www.facebook.com/dyfiospreyproject?ref=ts&fref=ts
Thanks, NiteOwl! Tissues necessary last year over 3 out of 4 NTU peregrine chicks succumbing to the relentless rain. Was so pleased at the Dyfi intervention to save Ceulan, then the sadness of his loss, and now the expectations for this season ...
Thanks, Brenda, all so kind!

Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
That's not far from where I was brought up, was there in the autumn. Do you follow the Derby peregrines? 4th egg today!
I don't, though I like to hear about other nesting birds. I find that the antics of EJ and Odin fill my time fairly spectacularly! The non-osprey nest that caught my interest the most was the urban raven nest in Wigan, with three or four chicks. I'd love to see that.
Have a look at this:

Absolutely triumphant here cos I managed to find it from this afternoon's 4.5 hour recording :-) Have asked YouTube to brighten it up a bit, not sure how long they take but it can be watched in original colours. Lots of bits cut out. The stonechat comes up from below the right-hand side of the nest. Morning Monty, hope your patience pays off today.
What a miserable day it looks at Dyfi, and foggy lets hope Nora can still see her way home,
Its the same here and I was just getting used to spring.
