Dyfi are going to have a nest mic this season : https://www.facebook.com/dyfiospreyproject?ref=ts&fref=ts
Update on last night's internet problems - it was quite major here, I had to reboot router and modem more than once. It was very misleading how some sites were fine whilst others totally down, eventually everything went down :-/
Have been catching up on EJ recording from dawn, took me ages, am downloading Dyfi. Hope it doesn't stop itself behind my back >:(
STARLING, a born worrier here too!

Yes but my theory is that she was probably back a lot earlier than 9 April 2011 and took some time to find the eligible bachelor in Monty.
We know that the birds scout far and wide to find a nest.
For example we know that this little chick became this one ending up in Norway

Wind has died down as dusk envelops the Dyfi nest - a lone crow balances on the perch.
Maybe tomorrow?

Let us hope tomorrow there will be a 'welcome in the hill side', for our long awaited ospreys! :-)

Has not been mentioned since 2007. That picture of her and those two eggs will always be etched in my mind.
Three chicks fledged in England in 2004. All three were seen again a 100% return.

Thank you for reminding me because I always play that when the chicks migrate. Or is there a "Welcome home to Wales" song?
Having been at Lowes all day today, I was really hoping there would be an arrival (or better still two) at this nest by the time I came home. :-(
Sheryl W said: Tiger, don't forget that's only against last year's arrival date and the weather was much much nicer earlier on in the year last year so it would make sense. I think she didn't appear until 9th April her first season the year before. Let's not panic yet :)

Quite agree Sheryl , last year was good migration weather, 03(08) arrived back earlier in 2012 than 2011 - but she did have to wait until the resident (laid back male) joined her. There are still a lot of days for 03(08) to arrive as yet, especially as she prefers a menu without flounders.
