France , Landes : Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013 Marais d'Orx (Générique) / Orx (40) 2 Ospreys (Pandion haliaetus) [Yohann Montane ]
What a great experience, Shane - really envious of that one :-)
There are still quite a few sightings coming through every day, as you've probably noticed. They should tail off by the end of the month, but there are sometimes odd ones around even into November.
Thanks Rachel for the info, would it mainly be the juveniles that hang around or does it not make a difference? The one I saw today I think was a juvenile, I managed to take a photograph, is there any way I could upload it so that someone could tell me if it was a juvenile?
You can upload photos if you write your post with the rich formatting option. Not too difficult to work out, as far as I remember (though it helps to reduce the file size first!) Ask on the technical test thread if you get stuck - I'm not really the best person to help there: better at doing than explaining :-/
Birdie Num Num details the procedure here
Birdies LG DU update.
Thanks for the help Rachel and Mike.
Well done :-) Nice photo, too.
Difficult to tell adult from juvenile from underneath, but possibly more likely an adult? See what others think.
Unringed, anyway, so we will never know where it comes from (other than probably Scotland, since English & Welsh chicks are all ringed - so far...)
There is a good chance that this sighting is Lalli:
vendredi 4 octobre 2013
Prise de Treillejac / Saint-Just-Luzac (17)
1 Balbuzard pêcheur (Pandion haliaetus)
[Equipe Cen 17 ]
Remarque :sur poteau électrique avec poisson de grande taille
Looks like a good place for an Osprey. Translation says "perched on an electricity pole with a large fish"
Thanks Mike. Lalli has been there for 10 days now.

Although it wasn't clear at first, Lalli moved up to the Vendée at the end of September, see SueC on another thread (Satellite tracked non LG)
Best wishes
