I wouldn't mind betting that the three Suffolk sightings are all the same bird. Hope it comes a bit further south....I wouldn't mind seeing Bawdsey or Felixstowe Ferry appear in your excellent listings.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.

Clare :The Suffolk sighting is really interesting in as much as it flew in off the sea. At this time of the year that probably means an osprey returning for the first time.
