    one flew north
    following the River Ouse SE558551 (15:00)

    30/04 17:35  EAST YORKSHIRE : Osprey, Blacktoft Sands RSPB  [S]
    one flew
    north today; also adult male Hen Harrier, up to 8 male Grasshopper Warblers
    singing around the hides and 2 Whimbrel through

  • GREEN DY @ Loch Insh, approx time 10 AM this morning. As reported by B&B and Keith Rogers who saw a clear photograph of the Osprey which was captured by an Italian guy who was visiting Loch of the Lowes this afternoon.     No doubt more information to follow from B&B and Keith!

  • Still the occasional osprey crossing at Gibraltar:

    29 Apr:  Mainly cloudy skies with some sunny intervals in the afternoon.  Winds fresh westerly becoming WNW, and rather cold.  A trickle of raptors throughout the day for a total of 42 Honey Buzzards, 31 Black Kites, 3 Griffon Vultures, 2 Short-toed Eagles, 9 Sparrowhawks, 5 Booted Eagles, 2 Hobbies and single Marsh Harrier and Osprey.  Also seen were a Grey Heron, a Little Egret and 5 Black Storks.  Common Swift passage was continuous throughout the day with many flocks wheeling over the Observatory and heading north.
