Linda H said: Mims, I found this link to a good photo of White YA under the netting. I think his eyesight is fine, the herbert found the only gap in the netting, between the upright fence and the pond. It's been fixed now. www.ispot.org.uk/.../320674 Click on the photo to enlarge it, and then use the link for "View original image" at the bottom left of the photo.

That's 5 ospreys in last 2 days. There is a very good chance that these are UK bound.
Thanks Alan, I looked on the map for the 3 French watchpoints and I agree these hopefully are UK bound. I have been checking this thread twice a day :)

Thanks Alan for this exciting and encouraging news.
I don't have your email Alan so I will post it here and Osprey was seen yesterday (5th) at Weirwood Reservoir, East Sussex, sighting posted on Sussex Ornithological Society website.

In that report Nigel doesn't give a time for his visit which is a shame as there was one mentioned in an earlier report on the site at 16 45 about 5 miles south at Chailey but heading North.
Birdies LG DU update.

Interesting: didn't one of the Rutland sub-adults spend time there last summer?
