Those two osprey must be happily catching fish. Makes you wonder, how long before osprey start nests around the area.

Sorry I did not notice this post earlier. I think you mean these pictures
The ring does not seem resolvable. Seems like a female. Not too many orange ringed birds around as far as I know.
Very few suspects.
Tiger Signature
Yes those are the ones. As for 'suspects' I guess you'd know!.
Update. Thanks for the PM.
Birdies LG DU update.

There is at least one other photo of this bird around somewhere - sorry, can't track it down from work, but similar to the image currently 4th from left on Tiger's link - from which I was fairly sure the lower character was rounded (so perhaps C/D/O), and there appeared to be a line around the centre of the ring, separating the two characters. This photo does, I think, confirm the latter feature: isn't that an old-style ring? Agree female.
The ring appears yellow in some photos, but it is definitely the same bird. I posted a rundown the other day, probably on Osprey Chat, of the probably 4 different birds photographed at this site recently, but it got lost in the excitement of EJ's arrival :)
EDIT: in the light of news that orange ZT has been spotted in the area, I wonder if there are actually 2 separate birds here, with yellow & orange rings respectively. That would be even better!
More on the origins of ochre Z|T here. Scroll down "News" for 28th to read Keith Brockie's comments.
What Roy Dennis and Keith Brockie have said about Ochre Z I T (as posted in Blagdon Lake Birds) is very interesting:
"Roy Dennis has just sent me the following information about the female shown above: "Brilliant photo - this is an old female - ringed either in 1998 or 1999 by Keith Brockie in Perthshire/Tayside." Keith has subsequently contacted me this evening and written: "This was ringed as a chick 1311981, ochre Z bar T left colour ring, ex brood 3/3, 9th July 1998, at... Bridge of Cally, Perthshire. Subsequently she has only been seen once visiting an eyrie ... near Dundee, on 24th April 2002."
EJ hatched in 1997, also at Bridge of Cally. I'm sure Valmc, who monitors a nest there, has recently found out from Keith & posted that there were 2 nests at Bridge of Cally in 1997, and EJ came from the "other one". So, Ochre Z I T could either be a year-younger sister of EJ, or be from Val's nest?
Thank you Jaydee.Great new shots of both birds including what I guess is Emry's thumb on white YA !.
Is this also the same bird?
Tiger, The final picture on the thread would appear to be a different bird, certainly not the one you described as being ZT earlier in the link.

Do you think the first four are ZT?
