Rutland Osprey Team off to Africa next week
I've noticed that Mrs is digging by the edge of the nest rather than the middle. Is she likely to use this for her eggs? She's been digging several times today in the same spot. If for eggs, seems strange not in the middle of the nest.
I think we all pray not. There does seem to be nesting material appearing slowly so we can only hope that once the nest is properly built up some more suitable area will be selected.
Birdies LG DU update.
Both birds on the nest - a beautiful picture of domestic harmony :-) Pity I can't see how to capture images on the iPad...

Looks like the nest is now being built up. Quite a difference from yesterday.

Rachel, I believe you just "long hold" your finger on the image and a menu will come up asking if you want to copy the image. It works like that on my tablet and I think the iPad is the same.

Mimms. Re my previous post. Mrs 5R doing much nestorising and you'll be pleased to know she's nest cupping in the centre!. Too quick for a shot.
The nest looks much better this morning......not so bleak and barren

Rachel, Sorry, that was the wrong instruction. I've looked at my husband's iPad downstairs and the way to do it is to take a screenshot. Make sure your image is full screen then you press the menu button and the power on/off button simultaneously. The screen momentarily goes white, as if it's taken a photo and you will then find the image in your photos folder. Easy peasy!!
A nice calm morning in Manton Bay.
