Rutland Osprey Team off to Africa next week
What would be the chances of another male turning up if the worst case scenario happened and 5R didnt show?

Pretty good, I would think - last summer, there were 5 unattached two and three year old Rutland-born males hanging around RW at different times.
Edit: ...one of them was Mrs 5R's own offspring, Blue 30 (10) but that doesn't seem to be a barrier to osprey relationships!
Thats good to know, thanks Sue C !

Birdies LG DU update.
Thanks Mike. A very good read.
Pied Wagtail looking to upsize :
I love pied wagtails, they're such characters! I wouldn't mind betting it stays put when the osprey returns.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
