Rutland Osprey Team off to Africa next week
Thanks Tiger as not a daft question.
Mike yes your picture was really early and Mary and everyone the plot thickens :)
Wonder who the other bird was! Maybe it was 00(09) back and Mrs 5R too tired to chase her off, but don't think so somehow, you watched them B&B before taking your capture, did Mrs.5R not even show a bit of feist LOL.... Tiger says she is a feisty one, I wouldnt know as haven't watched Manton Bay closely only when chicks hatched, but the book has whetted my appetite to learn more.

I do think that one of the birds on BB's picture does look like Mrs. 5R but can't tell from Mike's earlier photograph. Rutland don't mention any other sightings, so as you say, who is it.
Ok I am about to be controversial. I think that the bird on the right in 10.41 am capture is Mrs 5R and the bird on the left is 00 (09)
Just a suggestion mind you!

BTW on page 76 of the Rutland book (we need a name) upper right is a picture of Mrs 5R chasing her sister in law viz. 5N (04)
Tnanks Tiger you are probably right and you explained that Mrs 5R would be tired and not so aggressive. They were very calm though lol Interesting :)
Well one thing for sure Ospreys always are exciting to watch LOL.... now we are all wondering who the mystery bird was..... will we ever find out that remains to be seen but it sure is fun trying!!!!
