Hi Alan
The Osprey was still at Warnham Nature Reserve, Sussex this morning, we got some good views as it sat across the lake from the reserve and as it fished until it was mobbed so much it went elswhere. Couple of poor pics below.

mims,
There is a link to the slideshow (taken on 2nd Oct) , which scylla mentioned, in the post I have quoted above. I was lucky enough to be in the hide while these were being taken!
[/quote] Oh thank you for this, Sue C, I will look at that now.
Beautiful pics and thanks to Steven Whitehead for these. Sue how wonderful to be there and see this in 'real life'. I will be hopeful that this bird has now left on migration and has a safe journey - though it seems that there are some still 'hanging around' and some still 'on route' to their wintering grounds.
[edit] what a dumbo I am lol. I have been looking in the wrong place of the left wing for the nick. It is so obvious when you look at the 'end feathers' - I didn't know what the 'primary' was but do now :))
This is only a guess but could it be the same one?.www.sos.org.uk/index.php. Shane where are you?.
Birdies LG DU update.
Hi Mike I was wondering the same, its a bit off its known patch but close enough to be the same one, without a photo showing the wing it would be difficult to say. I intend going down to the coast today with with my boys so I will keep an eye open.
Excellent CHRIS. What a delight . Yes, definitely the same bird. Thank you so much
