The Osprey was still at Warnham Nature Reserve, Sussex this morning, we got some good views as it sat across the lake from the reserve and as it fished until it was mobbed so much it went elswhere. Couple of poor pics below.

Yesterday I drew a blank, arrived too late. Today at just after 10am, the osprey was perching on the cedar tree, which seemed for ages, then after over an hour it took off over the water towards the sheep field in an approx SW direction and that was it. No fishing in front of the Heron hide, which would have been super. Both today and yesterday the photographers were out in force, they confirmed that the bird is unringed, some locals seem to believe that for that reason it could be Scandinavian, but there are many unringed Scottish birds still surely, I believe. I am a bit sceptical about it being the same one as at Shoreham, since this one actually has been seen roosting for the night, in the cedar tree.
My photos such as they are, will just be specks in the sky, I did not take the big lens as the focus is still not working properly. Next year I think I shall be getting a super zoom bridge camera, like ChloeB was talking about. It is a very nice reserve, which is actually a reservoir and there are real problems apparently with the dam, because it does not meet the required standards and needs several millions spent on it, which since it is council owned, will not happen. The plan is, I was told that the lake will be drained partly, to turn the reserve into a wetland. So if that happens, bye bye, ospreys!
Remember I have only been there twice now, so my observations are more like first impressions.

I was also there this morning and saw the bird in the trees and flying over the lake checking it out before flying off, I know the Shoreham/Adur Osprey has an identifying nick in its second primary on its left wing which you can see in this poor picture I got this morning.
