ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data Site
Sat track schedule Spring 2014
LG 7 days; RW & SWT nil; LDOP varies
I'm trying not to worry too much about the prolonged silence from Dyfi - Ems hasn't even managed the promised update on the Observatory project yet. But as Chloe says, they have had a horrendous couple of weeks down there, and must be struggling to keep going just on the basic stuff that has to be done. Al & Karen from the B&B at Morben Isaf posted the other day that everyone feels in limbo - still waiting and hoping for the bairn to be found.
I haven't looked at GE since I did the FB post on Monday. The last 3 points then available were identical, but as they were something like 6pm-9pm (ie when it would probably be about dark, going on memories of my last trip to vaguely similar latitudes), I wasn't too concerned. Altitude, if I read the data correctly, was consistent with being perched in a tree.
Yes I can imagine the whole area being in deep shock still.
I also took those last points to be him roosting Rachel. Perhaps there will be an update this weekend.
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Some of RD's pages updated today........Fearna has data problems and no data from Stan either. Update to follow.
Also Dyfi say Ceulan is OK.
Yes, just reading on FB great news that Ceulan is fine.
Aigan still at Cazalegas reservoir as at 10th Oct - has now been there a month.
Rothiemurchus is back at his wintering site - arrived on 6th.
Fiddich is to the SE of Lac de Guiers
Updates as follows. Aigan, Beatrice, Red 8T, Rothiemurchus, Ceulan are all giving good data. However Fearna, Fiddich and Morven (existing problem) are not giving the normal quality of data to track their movements in detail.
Ceulan latest position.
Update of Alba, (island hopping) and Caledonia fishing at favourite spot.
Thanks, JSB! That's good to know.
Our herring gulls are red listed birds. Think about that the next time you hear some flaming idiot calling for a cull of them.
Update of Blue 44 and Blue YD both still residing in same areas.
Update for Fearna. It is a shame that there was a break in the data from the 6th to the 12th Oct, because it covers a small area of Brittany that I know very well, having been there almost every year for the last 40 years. In fact members of the family are just leaving there today, having had a week of almost continuous rain. I told them to watch out for Fearna, but they said "you must be kidding"! The area includes, La Trinite, Carnac, Quiberon, Golfe du Morbihan, etc. Many French families visit the area, which has good beaches and sailing and wind-surfing schools for children (école de voile).
