Nothing to worry about. He is doing absolutely fine.
He has flown over a days worth since the last point. Another three days or so and he will meet a river, probably in his case the Niger but I am only guessing.
He reminds me of T01
Tiger Signature
Thanks Tiger- just looked at T01 - what a journey - they do make it hard for themselves dont they? If only they tracked along the coast but then there are dangers there too. They never cease to amaze me with their stamina
Once again JSB just want to say how terrific your efforts are with the collating of all the Ospreys information. This is the thread I visit first and I'm very grateful to you.
My first introduction to T01, TIGER - I have to agree with Tempo about their stamina. And I am reminded of those birds that actually migrate down from Canada to South America !

How about Harri?
I am speechless TIGER and confess to a blub

Yes Harri is definitely the known world record holder osprey as far as distance is concerned.
Yes, absolutely gobsmacking isn't it?
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Cirrus, Mary GK, Alan and others, many thanks for your kind remarks. I shall do the next update this evening, assuming there is some news.
The diary of updates idea is not very practical, since inaccurate information would be worse than none at all. Maybe next year it could be revisited. Talking of next year, I was planning to start a new thread for 2013 in January. Also, when the activity of the ospreys subsides, I will probably reduce the frequency of the updates, which I think is appropriate.
Last point, I have had Google alerts going now for several weeks, to try to find any reports of sightings of Caledonia in or near Seville, in Spanish and English. But nothing has come up.
The reports are always tagged with the name of the bird(s) featured and sometimes the name of an interesting place or stopover. Access to this feature is by clicking the tag, or using the search box.
Now Harri is some bird indeed.
Remiss of me not to thank you JSB - I too go looking to your thread first and then to non LG tracked birds. And then to Alan's sightings!
Awaiting eagerly news on Stan
Ceulan 27th 9pm is the only update, still by River Senegal. (All the others checked - nil.) He is in the bottom left corner yellow dot, the picture is Rosso, top right corner, with white arrow.
