Rats! If I had waited a few minutes longer I could have saved myself a job. I have only just uploaded your last update jsb :) Only kidding, it only takes a couple of mins to do.
ChloeB & Tiger's Osprey Data
Chloe: I will not be doing any more tonight, promise. Whatever happens. I have just made up a strong herbal brew, to ponder Cally's choice of stopover.
LOL enjoy your brew :)
Had to have a laugh CHLOE - you got me going :)
Me? JSB - I've poured myself a glass of red wine.
Hooray for Alba - looks a wonderful spot and I don't mind if Caledonia has decided she wants a holiday in Spain before crossing the Med.
EDIT bit befuddled about 09 though - that's what I'll be pondering JSB
There are no migration updates that I am aware of this morning. I have been on the phone a lot, so if I have missed any news today, please advise, thanks.
Ceulan took 12 hours to cross the B of B, not 11 as was reported earlier.
Also the spreadsheet has been updated to include the missing webpages for the ospreys, Stan, Fiddich and Fearna, but since these are still blank, I shall not post the spreadsheet again, better to wait until I have some 'proper' news.
09(98) is near Santander near the Picos de Europa National Park. Another fast migration in the making.
Rothiemurchus is stopping over, in Galicia, on the north Spanish coast. Good fishing area, last fix was 4th, at Eume Reservoir. RD thinks he has chosen to stay meantime, rather than tackle a southerly path to Madrid and on. Similar behaviour to his UK experiences, where he stayed awhile in various areas.
Ceulan is in Northern Algarve, just south of the town of Odeceixe, arriving at 18:00 last night.
More sat fix points due later.
Ceulan at 1500hrs today (8th) is out over the sea, Atlantic Ocean. I think he is OK he is heading due south 164 miles off the coast, on this bearing he will reach the coast, in 188 miles well south of Casablanca. However the thing that makes me feel OK is that the coast is such that he is getting closer all the time, so he will see and smell the land mass fairly quickly, so he could carry on straight, or bear to the east, when he sees where he is and strike land earlier.
Ceulan (yellow) is following a remarkably similar route to Alba (white). 09(98) from Rutland is the mauve line.
Hope it's ok to post this here - seems daft to put it on both LG and Dyfi threads and I think Osprey Chat would be the only other place.
